"Booking The Trips was the best decision we ever made. No exaggeration. They were phenomenal. They are the most amazing band. We actually had another band booked for our wedding, who we were really happy with, but then we went to a friend's wedding and we heard them play and we were absolutely blown away. First of all their repertoire appeals to such a wide range of people and at the same time they manage to successfully avoid all the obvious, cliché numbers!
They're songs are fresh, funky and upbeat, mixed with classic ballads - "Purple Rain" being a particular favourite of ours! Next we have to praise their showmanship - By the end of the night, they were like friends attending the wedding! They had everyone up on the floor, they knew the guests by name, they had the crowd singing, dancing, having the craic - pitting the boys against the girls in "Video Killed The Radio Star" was a particular highlight, where my brother-in-law revealed a falsetto we never knew he had!
Lastly, we have to praise their pure professionalism. The lads were fantastic. They were such a pleasure to deal with from the start. They learned off 3 requested songs for us to perfection and they are seriously talented musicians. We could not recommend them highly enough. All the texts that we got the next day from guests, were raving about them. In short, they made the night. Don't hesitate - Hire this band!"

Neil and the boys were recommended by a friend, and from the night we went to see them play we fell in love with them.
From the drinks reception right through to the DJ they were amazing. They learnt our first dance brilliantly and all our guests were talking about them, young and old!!!

As an organiser I found them an absolute pleasure to deal with from the very first contact straight through to the end of the night. Nothing was too much trouble and they took every request in their stride (including two changes of venue).
It can be very difficult to suit a diverse crowd with widely varying tastes but everybody agreed that The Trips are remarkable and talented performers who really got the party going. Professional, enthusiastic, and personable – they made the evening.

From the moment my partner and I went to see the Trips we knew straight away that we wanted to book them for our Wedding in November 2011.
My partner and I have completely opposite tastes in music, but this was not an issue on the day. It didn't seem to matter about the age or tastes of our guests, everybody just loved them.
At the start of October I was told that my company would be letting me and 170 more staff go which meant I was really debating the extra costs when it came to the day.
I was so glad we had The Trips and people are still asking about them. My wedding has been a huge success thanks to the guys. Not only are they amazing at what they do but they are so great to deal with aswell. I would reccomend them to anyone and everyone for any event.

We decided to book the Trips for our wedding in June 2011 and from the very first contact months beforehand right through until after the wedding they were nothing but 1st class.
On such a big day you want a reliable, professional band and these guys tick all the boxes, they are professional, friendly, reliable and most of all they are a brilliant live act that know how to rock a party.
They had the dance floor full from the first song until the last and all our guests are still asking about them now.
Neil and the guys couldn’t do enough for us and even though I put in a special request one week before the wedding for a very specific song it was no problem whatsoever and played on the night with perfection.

These guys are reliable, punctual and last but not least, brilliant.
We first booked 'The Trips' for a company party in 2008. It had been a good year for us so we wanted to make our company summer party a special event for not only our Irish employees and partners but also those who travelled from the UK, France and Italy. Nervously 'The Trips' were booked as the only band I had booked before was for our wedding a few years ago and did not know what to expect.
However, 'The Trips' were recommended by a friend who had heard them play many times and was never disappointed. Neil was great to deal with and immediately put us at ease in terms of what to expect and how it was going to work. Their advice was spot on and the party worked really well. What was really nice about the lads was that they got a feel for the audience by sitting with them after set up and asking what they wanted to here. We had to clear more and more space for the dance floor as the night went on. We have booked them three times since for different occasions and they have performed brilliantly each time and after each gig I get many calls for their number. I only have one question 'Why are these guys not famous?'.

Catch Fire Ent. made our Wedding reception this past June at Durrow Castle such a special and memorable occasion.
